LineStar’s NuGen team was approached by an operator that was preparing to close on the acquisition of a new gathering system. Every time an asset is bought and sold, a monumental transition and integration is required that encompasses all aspects of operations, and commercial and support organizations. This buyer did not have the internal technical expertise to evaluate the new asset’s network, SCADA and IT systems, so they needed support to ensure the asset could transition without interruption to service.
LineStar brought the compliance, technical and field experts to the same table to help reduce the burden of integrating the new asset. We evaluated the assets, determined the compliance requirements and recommended options to address high priority integration tasks.
NuGen designed and executed a transition plan to host the SCADA system within NuGen’s highly available, redundant architecture and provided 24x7 SCADA and network support going forward. During initial discussions, the operator expressed a need for help managing their Integrity Management program. NuGen was able to call on resources from The Compliance Group and Tucker to assemble an end-to-end Integrity Management program including risk analysis, field assessments and dig crews to investigate identified anomalies.
